Programming Projects

Barbeques Galore

Date: 1998-2000
Description: Designed, built and maintained BBQGalore’s national eCommerce website. The backend was programmed in ASP 3.0 VBScript (My employers choice) and a SQL Server 2k database. The shopping cart was a cookie based cart and could handle many attributes and saved shopping sessions to the database for return customers. There was a zip code locater that integrated with their brick & mortar stores to allow for faster shipping. We started work on integrating their inventory management system with their website but this was not completed while I was working on the project. The intranet side of the website allowed for customer and order management, a very basic CRM based software system which was early for its time.

Microsoft

Date: 1997-1998
Platform: ASP 3.0 VBScript, SQL Server 2k
Description: With my team we finished programming a sales approval program that had been designed prior to our involvement. We developed the database and programmed the event and model structure for the interactions between sales divisions. This was an approval based submission system that would involve a ticket submission from the bottom trickling up to the top and being revised and then approved at each tier of management. Once it reached the appropriate supervisor it would then trickle back down and finally reach the sales representative that submitted it.

Cadence

Date: 2002
Description: Coded the backend of the website to be platform independent with XML and XSL. Cut all the HTML and CSS and programmed the XSL to deliver the content via an XML data library.
